Time for a Makeover!

The basic philosophy at YourLifestyleCenter is that a human being has enormous potential for life. Working to maximize our inherent skills and talents on all levels brings a human being into alignment with our source.

Lifestyle coaching focuses on empowering you with strategies to activate sustainable lifestyle changes for vibrant health - changes that enhance your happiness and well-being. This can address all aspects - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, but will always be guided by and stem from your needs and agenda. Areas for exploration and change can include habits, beliefs, attitudes, values and barriers.

Lifestyle coaching is different from counseling or psychotherapy in that it focuses on creating future change from present situations. It is not so concerned with past events or looking for reasons behind the problem, although these can also be considered. What is more important is to accept what is, and to start our journey of transformation from where we are with what we have.

The motivation is all yours; although the coach will inspire you for change as well as help you deepen your understanding of key issues, along with supporting your confidence in the successful execution of your goals - no matter how small the steps. 

Techniques employed by the coach include questioning, listening, synthesizing, reflecting, clarifying, supporting and encouraging in an atmosphere of total confidentiality.

Introductory session - meeting and greeting

This is a complimentary information session.

Welcome session - gathering and processing

This will be a period of one to two hours where we acquire understanding of the situation through questions (written and oral), with a view to outlining your goals and needs: what is and what can be - what is needed and what is wanted.

It includes:

  • Assessment of your current lifestyle (fitness habits/attitudes/diet/physical condition/default emotional state/values/passions/obstacles), with a view to identifying key issues and how they affect your life situation.
  • Setting priorities and realistic goals for the next 3 months, where we will meet and talk weekly for one hour three times a month. The meeting can be in person, via web cam or telephone.
  • 3-5 intermediate steps to be accomplished in the first week as part of the larger 3-month goal.
  • Commitments to change and time.

The Journey - YourLifestyleMakeover

These will be weekly and hourly meetings three times a month for three months.

It includes:

  • A review of the progress made towards the previous week's goals, after which we either proceed with new goals or develop solutions to overcome any obstacles.
  • Yoga and meditation for flexibility of body and mind/healing strategies/stress reduction/relaxation
  • Nutritional guidance - diet and supplementation
  • Developing awareness and acceptance, which will lead towards the transformation of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of life; working toward bringing these aspects into alignment and harmony.
  • Research on and referrals to complementary therapies.
  • Personal guidance in all matters of life and death.

Also offered:

  • Impromptu emails and/or calls by appointment of 10-15 minutes are complimentary in between sessions.

Welcome session - $108

       

The Journey - YourLifestyleMakeover
- 3 sessions of 60 minutes per month for 3 months - $200 per month.

 
       
Additional private yoga and/or meditation/philosophy classes - $70 per hour
