Somayog Courses

We offer one of the few courses in Somayog available in North America!

The regular practice of Somayog brings a genuine lasting change in comfort, range of movement, posture and general body functioning. Any lower back pain will start to dissolve, and you will begin to move with greater freedom and flexibility.Through Somayog you will create strength, flexibility and awareness, starting where you are with what you have. You will begin to feel that wonderful paradox of yoga - relaxed and energized at the same time. Your body's intelligence will awaken, along with your ability to hear what it wants to tell you. Our system presented is designed and relevant to Western life in the twenty first century, applicable to your lifestyle.

Somayog Teacher Training

This course will deepen your yoga practise and give you insight into the roots of yogic tradition. At the end of this course you will become a Somayog teacher and will receive all the tools you need to teach two levels of Somayog in a safe and comprehensive way. Click to see our brochure.

Patanjali Yog Darshan: This is an introductory course, and/or an in-depth study of the classical yog philosophy as presented by Sage Patanjali thousands of years ago. This course shows you how you can apply the ancient and timeless science of yog into your life now.

The Eight Limbs of RajYog: Put your yoga practice in its context - adding breathwork, Sanskrit names, sootras and philosophy.

Bhagavad Geeta: Learn one or more essential verses from the ancient and spiritual Hindu text. The verses are taught using the original Sanskrit sounds.

Praanayaam: The ancient and effective science of toning up the whole nervous system through breath. Master your praan, or life force, in just 2 afternoon workshops by learning simple exercises that create efficient breathing! Efficient breathing automatically leads to relaxation and helps build a strong, balanced body and mind.
